Planning Your Float

FOOD: For a shorter float, bring water and maybe a light snack. For an all-day float you will likely want to bring a lunch for yourself as well. It’s a good idea to bring along a small soft sided (no styrofoam) cooler for your food and beverages

CLOTHING: Check back with the web site on the day of your float to check the weather forecast and dress appropriate for the weather. Most importantly, wear shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. On sunny days, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat or visor will make for a more enjoyable afternoon.

OTHER ITEMS: Cameras, cell phones, etc., should be left at home if possible. We do provide a watertight dry bag for storage of any of these if you do wish to bring them along but supplies are limited and are dependent of the number of paddlers on the float.
